UNTREF Study Abroad Program
A unique educational and cultural experience in Argentina

The Study Abroad program at UNTREF offers international students the opportunity to experience Argentina’s academic and cultural life while taking courses mainly taught in English by highly qualified professors at one of the country’s most innovative public universities.

Located in Buenos Aires, UNTREF stands out for its strong commitment to social inclusion, cultural diversity, and artistic innovation. The university is recognized for offering unique degree programs that are not available at other Argentine institutions—and in some cases, in only a few universities around the world.

Through this program, students can engage with local and international peers, explore contemporary issues from a Latin American perspective, and gain a deeper understanding of Argentina’s social, political, and cultural dynamics.

Students may also take part in cultural activities and field trips designed to promote immersion and foster meaningful intercultural exchange, making this an enriching academic and personal experience.

Duration:

• 5 weeks during the Summer School
  
  

• 3 weeks during the Winter Break
  
  

Format: Theoretical classes, workshops, and fieldwork.

Cultural immersion: Visits to museums, historical sites, excursions, a day at a traditional estancia with horseback riding, barbecue (asado), and gaucho skills demonstrations. Opportunities for exchange with local students.

Language of instruction: English
Workload: 45 or 60 hours

Requirements:

• Be an undergraduate or graduate student.

• Submit a motivation letter including full name, home university, degree program, number of completed courses, and objectives for participating in this experience.
